The two-day off-road driving class builds on the one-day class curriculum introducing new topics and skills. With additional time behind the wheel, you’ll gain more confidence driving your vehicle off-road.
Our two-day class is perfect for those with stock vehicles who are contemplating upgrades and modifications, or for those who have just finished a vehicle build and are ready to test its capabilities and learn to safely use that new equipment.
The second day of instruction introduces more complex obstacles, where you will continue to hone the skills learned on day one. Additionally, you will have plenty of hands-on time with recovery equipment such as the winch, kinetic rope, and jack. You will learn how to accurately assess and execute a safe and effective vehicle recovery either as an individual or a team.
- Continued practice of driving methods learned on Day One.
- Recovery, recovery, recovery!
- — Static vs. Dynamic recovery techniques and scenarios.
- — Towing and snatching (the KERR).
- — The electric winch, its use, maintenance, and safety.
- — Steel vs synthetic winch line.
- — Single line and compound winch pulls with pulley block(s).
- — The Hi-Lift Jack and it’s safe and proper use in a variety of scenarios.
Our group driving classes are limited to 12 students to provide for an effective student-to-instructor ratio, and an inviting and relaxed atmosphere.
