1-Day Intermediate Driving: Providing a full day of the next steps in your 4WD training, our Intermediate Class is structured for those who have attended our one-day fundamentals class. While adhering to the principles of Tread Lightly, you will refresh your knowledge of the OEX Five Systems Method of operating a four-wheel-drive vehicle, as well as the OEX Five Steps to Negotiating an Obstacle. Then, we will have you apply your knowledge to new terrain on Grand Overland and Big Creek. This class will likely include recovery as well.
Intermediate Recovery Workshop: In the first recovery workshop you learned the fundamentals of winching, Hi-Lift Jack and Kinetic Rope recoveries. You will apply what you learned to lead and delegate recoveries with your team. You will be exposed to and problem solve your way through teachable moments and planned situations.
