From Cairo to Siwa, and Bahariya Oasis to Luxor, you will experience what few have in the Safari or Overland world, classic Sahara and with its infinite faces. From the west deserts we drop into the Nile River Valley near Luxor and eventually, after some well earned rest and time to see the archeological riches of the area of Aswan, we board a Felucca to sail down to Alexandria and then back on terra firma overland on to the Sinai Peninsula.

We travel overland in Land Cruiser 79s set up with everything we need to go where others do not. Accommodations range from walled tents in the Sahara, to high-end hotels of classic fame along the Nile. We stay to a basic pattern of alternating wall tenting and hotel nights.

We will have a full time guide, well versed in the cultural and historical aspects of Egypt, with us at all times. As with all OEX trips you will drive your own vehicle and often navigate for the entire group across classic North African deserts and Middle Eastern terrain.
